A SUMMER MUST-HAVE RECIPE FOR BABY BACK RIBS
Tender ribs slathered in BBQ sauce, especially when the edges are charred and crunchy, are irresistible and indulgent.
Summertime cooking calls for minimal use of ovens, stoves, and other indoor heat sources. This recipe accomplishes that goal with just 10 minutes in the Instant Pot before moving to the grill for the final stages.
Now, then, rib-makers of all ages (and appetites) unite!
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 rack of baby back ribs
- 1 cup of BBQ sauce
- 1/2 cup of apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup of brown sugar
- salt and pepper
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Sprinkle the ribs with salt and pepper, making sure to season them evenly. Brown the ribs by rubbing brown sugar all over them. The rear membrane must be left intact.
- Add 1/2 cup of apple cider vinegar to the Instant Pot, then arrange the ribs on the included rack in a half circle. Ten minutes under high pressure, followed by a five-minute natural release is ideal. The steam vent must then be cautiously opened. When all the steam has been released from the saucepan, remove the ribs to a serving tray.
- Apply a thick layer of barbecue sauce, then grill or bake the ribs at 450 degrees F/230 degrees C for another 15-20 minutes, basting with more sauce every 3-5 minutes until caramelized.
