You can count on your family and friends to like you and this creamy crab dip.
HOW TO MAKE HOT CRAB DIP?
Crabmeat from the Dungeness region of Washington state was blended with mayonnaise and seasoned cream cheese to create this baked snack.
Transfer the mixture to a beautiful baking dish and top with cheddar cheese after being stirred. Lastly, bake it for at least 30 minutes at 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
WHAT KIND OF CRAB TO USE?
Blue Crab would be a satisfactory substitute for the Dungeness crab I used in this recipe. Crabmeat can be substituted if neither of these options is available.
What can you eat with this dip?
Slices of French baguette or your favorite crackers go well with this snack. Sliced baguette can be toasted if desired. Toasting bread, breadsticks, or pita chips can also be a side dish.
COOK’S TIPS
- Overmixing the ingredients in the bowl can break up the crab flesh.
- The best mayonnaise should be used. I opted for the Best Foods label.
- Cayenne pepper and Tabasco sauce can be used to vary the level of heat.
- Your favorite type of cheese, such as pepper jack or mozzarella, can be used instead.
