How to Cook King Crab?
You can make crab legs at home in a matter of minutes. Crab legs are the most common product form, and all of them are pre-cooked and frozen.
A simple recipe that enhances the crab’s natural flavors is all you need. It’s common to boil or steam them and then melt butter over them.
Boiling or steaming king crab, in my opinion, dilutes the crab’s natural sweetness and salty flavor.
The crab’s flavor and aroma are enhanced when baked at a high temperature and in an oven. It also roasts the crab meat and removes the excess water content from the frozen crab meat.
A simple Sriracha lemon butter enhances the crab meat’s natural briny and sweet flavors.
Chef’s Tips for Alaskan King Crab
- Cooking, boiling, steaming, or baking frozen crab legs will be overly salty.
- The king crab legs should be cut or chopped into smaller pieces. As a result, they’re much more enjoyable to consume. Dinner parties can also benefit from the shorter segments.
- To get the most flavor from your oven-baked pie, cut open the top of the crust with scissors, as shown in the illustration. That will allow the crab meat to get roasted in the oven without being covered. Crab legs are also able to sip the butter because of this.
