Pork chops in a skillet with garlic, butter, and thyme are an excellent dish for pork chops. This recipe for Garlic Butter Pork Chops only takes 20 minutes to prepare!

Pork chops, whether baked or cooked in the Instant Pot, are two of my favorite meat dishes.

Pork chops are browned in a skillet with garlic butter sauce, thyme, salt, and pepper before being served. Easy, fast, and under 20 minutes all the way through the cooking process! The end product is moist, tender and tasty! If you’re looking for a quick weekday dinner, this dish is a terrific option.

For this garlic butter pork chops recipe, I used bone-in pork chops. Boneless is an option, but it doesn’t have the same depth of taste. Pork chops should be purchased from a reputable source to ensure tender, juicy, moist, and tasty results from this dish.

Pork rib chops with the fat and bone marrow still on are my favorite because they provide more taste and moisture to the dish. It is also less expensive. If you want leaner meat, boneless chops are a good option because the fat has already been removed. Dryer and less juicy will be the result.

You can cook pan-fried pork chops on the stovetop in a skillet.
